Have completed the Certolizumab pegol study and have good results. Waiting to get the study published and start a multi-center larger study.

There is presently 21 patients entered in the Cimzia to Treat Interstitial Cystitis Study. Patients are getting better and no one has had a problem. Cimzia is a drug that is FDA approved to treat other autoimmune diseases. There is basic scientific research that demonstrates that Cimzia should improve the symptoms of patients with Interstitial Cystitis. I have received FDA approval for all my IC studies and am presently the principal investigator in three research studies available for the treatment of interstitial cystitis. One is with Dr. Parsons from UCSD on a better bladder instillation treatment. The next is a study on the benefits of patient counseling and an FDA approved medicine that treats autoimmune diseases.
